Airplane seats are built for safety, not for comfort. The seats fatigue the back by eliminating lumbar/low back support and the headrests actually push the head forward eliminating the natural curve in your neck.

This AIRPLANE YOGA app consists of a door-to-door program to make flying more Zen-like. It contains a series of 24 simple, but effective sitting and standing yoga poses to do on an airplane. Each of the 18 seated and 9 standing poses are beautifully illustrated and contain both text descriptions as well as audio recordings of how to enter into each pose. Additionally, 13 of the 24 poses are demonstrated in short video clips.

Also included in the app is a bonus section, STRATEGIES FOR ZEN-LIKE AIR TRAVEL:
-Planning tips to use 24 hours ahead of the flight
-Packing list essential items to help reduce stress on board
-A checklist of ways to relax en-route to the airport
-Audio recordings of poses to do at the Boarding Gate
-Tips for Comfort on Board

The main goal of the airplane yoga series is to:
-Provide planning ideas that promote a more relaxing travel experience when traveling by plane,
-Stretch the muscles of the forearms and wrists after carrying luggage,
-Open the chest from the closed position safety-oriented airplane seats encourage,
-Bring movement into the spine using various: forward bends, back bends, twists, and extension movements,
-Stretch out the hamstrings that shorten after extended periods of sitting, and
-Increase circulation into the shoulder and hip joints.
